After four years of Marine Corps artillery, I found my solace in the commercial kitchen. The disarray, the constant onslaught of tickets, and “on the fly” challenges was the closest thing to the gun line I could find. There’s nothing in the world like a Saturday night dinner rush or a 5 round battalion fire mission.
Artist.
I make jewelry and other little treasures from vintage silver coins, exotic woods, and a variety of inlay materials. This medium, to me, is similar to food.
If you let it the ingredients sing, they often will.

I grew up in my grandparents’ vegetable garden.
Pickin’ all those green beans felt like a punishment back then, but it’s bloomed into a passion that I couldn’t be more thankful for these days.
